    Aside from the famous Hoeido Toukaidou, Utagawa Hiroshige painted more than 20 other series of The Fifty-three Stations of the Toukaidou. Each series has a different design, and the focus in depiction of the stations varies. This exhibition provides an opportunity to see the Toukaidou as viewed through its oiwake-michi (forks), the viewpoint adopted by Hiroshige for Tsutaya Toukaidou.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
