The culture of the Tsutaya Toukaidou and oiwake-michi - in pursuit of Hiroshige’s viewpoint
Introduction of the Exhibition
Aside from the famous Hoeido Toukaidou, Utagawa Hiroshige painted more than 20 other series of The Fifty-three Stations of the Toukaidou. Each series has a different design, and the focus in depiction of the stations varies.
